Doesn't AutoDesk come out with new versions aroung march/april time frame. Most software takes a price reduction before the new version is released.End of January is Autodesk's fiscal year end. It's most likley to help bolster their sales numbers of AutoCAD and the verticals.

Prior to being on subscription or anytime I add anything major to subscription, I always try to plan it for January as I get a better deal. Unfortunately, being on subscription they're less likely to deviate from their pricing structure for subscription renewals.
